CONSORTIUM RESEARCH PROJECT ON CONSERVATION AGRICULTURE (CRP-CA)

Consortium Research Platform (CRP) on Conservation Agriculture (CA) has been initiated by NRM Division of ICAR and CRIDA is the nodal institute for rainfed systems. Development of conservation agricultural practices and demonstration of these practices in farmers fields for awareness, capacity building leading to adoption are the objectives of the project. It has been suggested to bring convergence of NICRA and CRP-CA flagship programs by selecting some of the KVKs involved in TDC of NICRA as CA has been considered as one of the adaptation and mitigation strategy for Climate Change. In this regard, KVK Sonitpur (Assam) has been selected from ATARI Zone III for demonstration of the proven CA practices along with the other Climate resilient practices.
